Anheuser Busch purchased the brewery in 2011 and Brett Porter is now the current brewmaster.\r\n\u003c\/p\u003e\r\n\r\n\u003ch3\u003eGoose Island Beer\u003c\/h3\u003e\r\n\r\n\u003cp\u003eGoose Island uses 32 fermenters, 15 different kinds of yeast, and a 50 barrel JV Northwest 5 vessel system to brew every beer. One of their most known brews is called Goose IPA, which is flavored with citrus aromas and a bold hoppy finish. This beer had won the medal at the Great American Beer Festival six different times.
