It’s born from the desire to achieve a product that is at the same time artisanal, driven by its terroir, with all the complexities of a natural, authentic tequila, but also with the structure, elegance, and sophistication of a world class spirit.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eDon Fulano is the product of Enrique Fonseca\n and Sergio Mendoza Fonseca, 4th generation\n agave farmers and distillers. Their story begins\n in the town of Atotonilco in the Highlands of\n Jalisco, home to some of the most appreciated\n tequilas, where their great grandfathers began\n cultivating agave 140 years ago. Descendants\n of Portuguese immigrants, the Fonseca’s came\n to the highlands where they became well known\n farmers, owning the main bodega in the heart\n of town where they traded with the essentials;\n flour, coffee, grains, dairy products and meats\n of different sorts, most of which they farmed\n and produced in their ranches around town. In\n the late 1800s, the Fonseca’s started planting\n agave to supply the first tequila distillers that\n established in the highlands; Tres Magueyes\n which later became Don Julio, El Centenario\n and La Vencedora, two distilleries that produce\n the renowned Siete Leguas and El Viejito.
