Probably the¬†most fabulous geologist there ever was,¬†Judy was fascinated with¬†the soils of the Russian River Valley AVA in Sonoma County.¬†\n She knew she wanted to get¬†into the wine business like her father. However, she wanted to do it¬†differently, focusing¬†on Burgundian varietals (Pinot Noir and¬†Chardonnay) for both still and sparkling wines, as well as Pinot Gris.¬†So, in 1986, she founded J Vineyards \u0026amp; Winery.‚Äã\n In 2015, Judy sold J Vineyards to Gallo Winery.
