Beautifully rich in color with a dark, alluring hue, this featured bottling of the Balvenie Triple Cask 25 year old Single Malt Scotch Whisky is at the top of Balvenie's triple cask iterations. This exceptionally coveted whisky is a marriage of matured distillates aged in a trifecta of select barrels and casks for a minimum of 25 years, namely; first-fill ex-bourbon barrels, traditional refill casks, and first-fill Oloroso sherry butts. The resulting blend is then married for at least 6 months in a distinct marrying tun before bottling, finished at 40% ABV. Balvenie Triple Cask 25 Year was originally marketed solely to select Travel Retailers and has since become extraordinarily hard to find. The nose is a sweet honey-fall coating thin slivers of orange peel, smoke, and cinnamon along with hints of island papaya. On the tongue are layers of thick vanilla cream custard, spice, and juicy dates dipped in cocoa.
