Argiano is one of the oldest winemaking estates in Montalcino and a cofounder of the Consorzio di Brunello di Montalcino. Since joining the winery in 2010, winemaker Bernardino Sani has embraced organic practices and minimized winemaking intervention. Argiano's Brunello is the winery's benchmark expression of this philosophy.
Argiano is part of the history of the Montalcino region and it’s one of the most prestigious and historical reality in the area. The name is thought to derive from the first settlements in Roman times – 'Ara Janus’, referring to the god Janus. Another potential origin could be 'the land of the River Orcia’ – known in ancient times as 'Orgia’ and therefore Argiano. The history of Argiano has a turning point in the 16th century with the decline of the Tolomei family in favor of the noble Pecci family from Sienna and with the construction of their magnificent villa between 1580 and 1596, perfect exempla of a 16th century noble residence. The name of the villa, Bell’Aria, was chosen when the Pecci decided to build it preserving the original center of the castle on the crest of the hill precisely because of the air quality.

A. You must be at least 21 years of age to order and a signature of someone at least 21 years of age is required upon delivery.
B. All products are sold in California, with Title passing to the buyer in California.
C. The customer is solely responsible for the shipment of alcohol and must abide by their local and state laws.
D. If the package is returned due to failed delivery, a twenty-five percent (25%) restocking fee will be deducted from your refund. Shipping costs will not be refunded.
E. If the package is returned to Booze City damaged because of failed delivery attempts or refusal of delivery, you are responsible for the full cost of the order.
F. Spillage, minor damage and/or cosmetic defects are all possible to occur during transit. Booze City does not take responsibility for minor damage.
G. Booze City is not responsible for any lost shipments, including but not limited to packages lost because of hold requests or delivery rescheduling.
H. Pictures are for illustration only as product labels and bottle shapes can change at anytime without notice from the distillers who like to update their labels and bottles shape. We ship the current version of what the importer and distributor delivers to us.
