Deux Familles Madeira Cask Cognac is a single-batch cognac that blends Fins Bois and Bons Bois eaux-de-vie aged 6 to 8 years in new French oak, then finished for two years in Limousin oak casks shipped to the island of Madeira and soaked in Madeira wine. Bottled non-chill filtered, with no added sugar or caramel, at 48% ABV (96 proof).
Deux Familles is a family house working in the grower-producer tradition, and this release shows its experimental side. The base cognac rests first in new French oak casks of 350 to 400 liters, laying down structure and spice. For the finish, those casks are shipped to Madeira and left to soak in Madeira wine for two full years, so the wood returns to Cognac saturated with the fortified wine's dried-fruit character.
Best served neat in a tulip glass, or with a single large ice cube to gently open up its dried-fruit character.
It is bottled at 48% ABV, which is 96 proof.
Two years soaking in Madeira wine saturates the oak with sweet, oxidized, dried-fruit character, which it then imparts to the cognac during finishing.

B. All products are sold in California, with Title passing to the buyer in California.
C. The customer is solely responsible for the shipment of alcohol and must abide by their local and state laws.
D. If the package is returned due to failed delivery, a twenty-five percent (25%) restocking fee will be deducted from your refund. Shipping costs will not be refunded.
E. If the package is returned to Booze City damaged because of failed delivery attempts or refusal of delivery, you are responsible for the full cost of the order.
F. Spillage, minor damage and/or cosmetic defects are all possible to occur during transit. Booze City does not take responsibility for minor damage.
G. Booze City is not responsible for any lost shipments, including but not limited to packages lost because of hold requests or delivery rescheduling.
