When the distillery was reawakened in 2008, after a near twenty year period of closure, a rare collection of casks were discovered in its coastal warehouses. Chosen by Master Blender Rachel Barrie, each cask selected for The Serpentine Coastal Cask Collection offers a unique and exceptional sensory experience, speaking to the interplay between the natural environment, the fine wood of the cask and the hands of time. Cask #1863 is 48 years old and has the aroma of enticing waves of soft blueberry, peach, and tamarind on a base of meringue and gently salted pistachio cream. The taste is a delicious melange of mouthwatering blackberry, lychee, and raspberry infused with passionfruit and sea salt.
