Made from Japanese distillate (malted barley), Kaiyo Whisky is known for its extensive use of Japanese Mizunara Oak to mature its whiskies in varying degrees, from full-term maturations to finishes. Our pioneering research into the effect of wood selection on whisky maturation has led to the development of bespoke barrels, crafted from slow growth, air-seasoned wood from hand-selected trees. Created by the Ariake Cooperage, these casks are handmade due to Mizunara oaks delicate wood grain. Meaning "ocean", Kaiyo Whisky embarks on a journey through the seas from Osaka, Japan which lasts up to three months. The result of the sea voyage and maturation is our whisky’s distinct chronicle of its journey. Just as no two stories are identical, neither is each sea voyage with factors including the motion of the seas’ waves, temperature changes, and variations of weather and air pressure all contributing to the whisky’s aging effect, and ultimately leading to a truly unique whisky.

A. You must be at least 21 years of age to order and a signature of someone at least 21 years of age is required upon delivery.
B. All products are sold in California, with Title passing to the buyer in California.
C. The customer is solely responsible for the shipment of alcohol and must abide by their local and state laws.
D. If the package is returned due to failed delivery, a twenty-five percent (25%) restocking fee will be deducted from your refund. Shipping costs will not be refunded.
E. If the package is returned to Booze City damaged because of failed delivery attempts or refusal of delivery, you are responsible for the full cost of the order.
F. Spillage, minor damage and/or cosmetic defects are all possible to occur during transit. Booze City does not take responsibility for minor damage.
G. Booze City is not responsible for any lost shipments, including but not limited to packages lost because of hold requests or delivery rescheduling.
