Kalak begins with the fertile soils and mild oceanic climate of Southern Ireland, recognized as one of the best places in the world to grow malted barley. Distilled four times in a copper pot still, using Irish malted barley and pure mountain water, this single malt grain spirit is then finished in virgin oak casks, charred over an Irish peat fire. Aromas of honeycomb, toffee and vanilla are complemented with delicate earthy undertones. Mellow smokiness evolves on the palate with vanilla, gingerbread and creaminess. The finish is long, smooth, and lingering.
