The Kilbeggan Distillery has sat on the banks of the River Brosna since 1757, making it Ireland's oldest continuously licensed whiskey distillery. It produced Irish whiskey beloved the world over for two centuries, before sadly closing its doors in 1953. But this isn't where the story ends. The townspeople of Kilbeggan continued to pay the distillery license. After three decades, the doors were finally reopened - and the people of Kilbeggan returned their distillery to its former glory. Today, each bottle of Kilbeggan is a testament to the spirit of the community.
