Masterfully crafted using consecutive maturation in two unique casks resulting in double the tasting pleasure, The Balvenie Double Wood 17 year old Single Malt Scotch was created by Malt Master David C. Steward MBE in celebration of his 50 years with The Balvenie. Aged for a minimum of 16 years in American oak barrels and then transferred to European oak sherry casks for another year of maturation, this much-coveted quaff contains an undisclosed mash bill featuring a high percentage of malted barley and is bottled at 86 proof. Double Wood 17 Year Scotch was discontinued by The Balvenie in 2021 - allowing it to become an authentic unicorn cask in the whiskey world and an exceptional addition to any premium liquor collection.
