Named after August Sebastiani's great uncle on his mom's side, Valerio Cecchetti. Valerio or "Uncle Val" was a physician in his native Lucca, Italy and had a passion for gardening and cooking up to his final days. The brand launched in 2012 with one SKU, Botanical. Zested was released in 2022 as a line extension.
