Aged 60 days in American Oak Bourbon barrels for rich vanilla and caramel notes, delivered on succulent black and red fruit character. This is a wine that's as much about flavor as it is about mouthfeelîsatisfying and full with a lingering finish.
This wine is bursting with aromas of ripe blackberry, roasted hazelnuts, and caramel. The intense concentration is bolstered by Petit Verdot, this full bodied wine has a creamy mouth feel with ripe tannins and integrated acidity. The lingering finish boasts notes of toasted hazelnut, coconut, violet, and black cherry.
As California's longest continuously operating winery, Beringer has been defining Napa Valley winemaking since it was founded by Jacob and Frederick Beringer in 1876. By continuing that pioneering spirit, Beringer established many 'firsts' as leaders in the wine industry. We were one of the first gravity fed facilities and among the first to operate using hand dug caves and cellars. We were the first to give public tours in 1934, starting a Napa Valley hospitality tradition. We are the first and only winery to have both a red and a white wine named #1 Wine of the Year by Wine Spectator Magazine. Today, we proudly celebrate and remain true to our pioneering legacy.
