Cesari was founded in 1936 by Gerardo Cesari with the vision of producing high quality wines from Verona. As the winery grew, so did its reach around the globe, with 1973 being the first year the Gerardo Cesari brand made it to US soil, being one of the first Amarone wines in the American market. Cesari has two state-of-the-art facilities, Cavaion Veronese for the cellaring of the wines, and Fumane, home of the fruttaio, the large room dedicated to drying the grapes for Amarone production. In 2024, Cesari wine packaging was redesigned to provide a look of quality and uniformity. The Cesari brand has become synonymous with the Amarone style of wine, being sold in over 50 countries across the globe and conducts extensive aging periods that exceed DOC requirements.
