Bright and citrus driven, the 2021 Le Pich Sauvignon Blanc balances lush aromatics with fresh acidity and creamy texture. A tropical wave of pineapple, lychee, and passionfruit joins with fragrant white flowers and cool limestone notes on the nose. In the mouth, the citrus explodes with layers of mandarin orange and lime joining the round, tropical core. Whispers of toasted almond and butter cookie round out a truly mouthwatering finish.
Purlieru’s sister label, Le Pich gets its name from a Wappo Indian term meaning "golden eagle". They are hunting birds, and you can often spot them above our vineyards as they soar, glide, circle and arc. Eagles are beautiful birds – stately and impressive, but not haughty or boasting, with a nimbleness that’s inspiring. We hope that our Le Pich wines live up to the character of their namesake.
