Windstream Chardonnay is a single vineyard wine from the Sarmento Vineyard, located within the prestigious Santa Lucia Highlands appellation of Monterey County. This Chardonnay was 100% barrel fermented in small French oak barrels – 94% new – with 64% of the wine undergoing a secondary malolactic fermentation. Light gold in color, the wine rushes in with potent fruit notes of pineapple and grapefruit unfolding to reveal dried fruits, nuts, brown sugar, and spice. With a full body and lovely texture, this Chardonnay provides a rich, mouth-filling experience that stays well-balanced due to natural acidity. Coating tannins make for a long finish that lingers with hints of mineral, vanilla, and almonds
